Isolated I2C/SMbus multiplexer, 1-of-4 isolated, self powered channels
GP9546A is an isolated quad bidirectional I2C/SMBus multiplexer kit with enhanced ESD capability operating on a single 5V power.
GP9546A is designed as a development kit with a mounting case. The user can install the board in the case with mounting screws. The user can drill wire egress holes based the application requirements.
For the standard module, the signal voltage is 3.3V. 5V option is available upon request.
GP9546A kit is an ideal tool for renewable energy applications where multiple apparatus with identical I2C address is utilized. For example, it can be used for monitoring multiple BB-2590's with SMBus. Its isolation allows it to be used to break ground loop and improve signal robustness.
Features:
- On the primary side, the connections go to on-board 1-to-4 I2C switch's SCL, SDA and /RESET so a host controller can select the I2C/SMBus channel. The 5V power input will power the whole boards including the isolated power to the secondary sides.
- On the secondary sides, all four I2C/SMBus channels are isolated. With on-board power, no external power is needed for the secondary sides.
